First, the gatecrashers entered the house. Hot stuff Barney received a "warm" reception from the girls, while the following two, Nathan and Michael, raised barely an eyebrow. The boys seemed rather disappointed to see no new female faces. Personally, we were disappointed to see Barney prove his beauty only runs skin deep as the sexist comments began right from the get-go.
Next up, Corey's first foray onto the BB stage was met with a... shall we say mixed? reaction. The loud, insistent booing didn't give way for his whole interview with Kyle and Jackie O. You had to feel sorry for the 17 year-old, especially when even Kyle couldn't get the audience to give him a break. Things didn't fare much better for party-boy when he made his way into the compound where only a few housemates surged forward to meet him. At first a few of the girls, primarily Bianca, were openly hostile and went to Big Brother to voice their unhappiness over the new guest. Surprisingly it was Saxon who took her aside to chat and ask if she would give the young guest a break. Who knew he would come out of that offensive shell?
The last 'surprise' for the night was probably the most enjoyable to watch. When Terri re-entered the house to act as Corey's minder the mixed reactions of the housemates were priceless. Most entertaining of all, Nobbi's face. To say he was pissed off is the understatement of the year. While Big Brother attempted to bleep the majority of his swearing rampage, the audience were left with the longest bleeeeeeeeping sound in television history! Extra kudos for them managing to miss the "fuck this" on the end that made it to broadcast. Dixie, Travis and Renee were clearly overjoyed to have Terri back, and she has wasted no time getting stuck back into the younger housemates.
Nobbi, meanwhile, is still complaining to anyone who will listen about his "rough time" in the house and his hatred of Terri over in the live feed. Corey, meanwhile, is wandering aimlessly in the house looking very uncomfortable indeed. Terri seems to be receiving the suck-up of a lifetime from Ben, who appears very uncomfortable to see the woman who he voted off for reminding him of his mother return.
Highlight: Kyle and Jackie O discussing Saxon's emergence as a bigot and "those" Rima pictures and controversy upfront - very refreshing.
Lowlight: Barney's first comments to the Australian public - he likes women who he can get to cook, clean and have sex with. Classy, you tool, classy.
